Neutering and Spaying Services in Lahore & Karachi

Why Neutering and Spaying Matters

Neutering (males) and spaying (females) are among the most common and beneficial veterinary procedures. Beyond preventing unwanted litters — which contribute to Pakistan’s stray animal crisis — these procedures offer significant health benefits. Spaying eliminates ovarian and uterine cancer risk and greatly reduces mammary tumours when performed before the first heat.

Neutering reduces testicular cancer and prostate disease risk, and often improves behaviour.

Timing, Procedure & Recovery Care

Timing depends on species, breed, and size. Most dogs and cats can be safely neutered or spayed from around six months. For large and giant breeds, your vet may recommend waiting until skeletal maturity. We discuss optimal timing during wellness visits.

Every procedure begins with pre-surgical health check and blood screening. We use modern anaesthesia with continuous monitoring of heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, and temperature. Surgery is performed in our dedicated theatre with sterile technique. Post-operatively, your pet receives pain management and is monitored during recovery before discharge with detailed home care instructions.

Most pets recover quickly. Expect your pet to be quieter for a day or two. We provide a protective collar or suit, activity restriction guidance, and a follow-up appointment. Suture
removal, if needed, is typically ten to fourteen days post-surgery.
