Heart disease is more common in pets than many owners realise. Some breeds are genetically predisposed, and age-related changes develop silently. Early detection through cardiac diagnostics enables timely intervention that extends quality of life.
We offer both Electrocardiography (ECG) and Echocardiography (ECO) for a complete picture
of heart health.
Recommended for predisposed breeds (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Dobermans, Boxers, Maine Coons, Ragdolls), senior pets, any pet with a detected murmur, pets showing coughing, laboured breathing, or reduced exercise tolerance, and for pre-anaesthetic evaluation in highrisk patients.
ECG records heart’s electrical activity, detecting arrhythmias, conduction disturbances, and enlargement changes. Quick, non-invasive, no sedation needed. Recommended when a murmur is detected, before surgery in at-risk breeds, and when fainting, weakness, or exercise intolerance is present.
ECO is a heart ultrasound providing real-time images of structure and function — chamber sizes, wall thickness, valve movement, blood flow. Essential for diagnosing dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valve disease, pericardial effusion, and congenital defects.

No. Both are non-invasive and painless. Most pets lie calmly without sedation.
Many forms can be managed effectively with medication, diet,
and regular monitoring. Early detection is key.
ECG takes about ten minutes. Full echo takes twenty to thirty minutes depending on findings.
These tests are recommended if your pet has symptoms like coughing, fainting, breathing difficulty, or exercise intolerance, or if a heart murmur or irregular heartbeat is detected during a routine check-up.
